night out with the weasel
impromptu date night with the weasel tonight, first stop was meredith butner's opening at moshi moshi. the pieces were really lovely, and i especially liked the two with swimming ladies (um, birthday hint?). then it was out to our standby dinner haunt, navarre on NE 28th. they were pretty amazing about accommodating my bizarre (and hopefully temporary) dietary restrictions. and the service was great tonight as well (we'd had a terrible experience the last time we went).

Wow, that dinner looks great. How were the carrots with a million herbs? They're on the left, beets in the back, right?
yes! everything was amazing! the carrots with a million herbs are about my favorite thing they serve, and are out-of-control tasty. sweet, savory and spicy all at the same time! next time you're in portland, we should hit navarre!
The carrots do sound pretty fantastic!
I agree on the pictures with women swimming -- just lovely. I especially like the one with the blue flowers. Will have to pop in there and check them out in person.
