it is cold and snowy in portland. we decided to take the max downtown anyway (which was an adventure in itself) and check out
handmade bazaar. only about half of the vendors showed up, but there were some great artsy items for sale. we bought several things, including an awesome silkscreen print (dave's christmas present). we had dinner at the new sit-down restaurant incarnation of eddie's flat iron pizza. then we bussed it over to lorenzo and sarah's. unfortunately, the 75 was very delayed, so we ended up walking most of the way home, about two miles in 23 degrees and up to 38 mph wind gusts. good thing we had our longjohns on! it was actually a very fun (albeit cold) day.
i wish i had taken more outside photos, but my fingers were pretty much frozen. i did get a couple of shots of the snowy spiderwebs on our kitchen windows, and another cute shot of lisa k (she's so photogenic!). the last two are of handmade bazaar artists whom we patronized.
