chillin' in franklin

we're spending the day just chillaxing to the max in franklin. i prefer dancing to fighting, thus the hippie r.v. dance party montage.

christmas in indiana

after leaving an hour late from portland due to a flight attendant issue and racing to our gate at o'hare (which had already closed, but they re-opened it), we made it into indy at about 3 p.m. we headed over to brazil to hang with my mother's side of the family. a remote control tarantula was the big toy hit with the kiddos (bryce, charlie and audrey). oh, and dave totally rocked the princess look.

passion on ice

i'm pretty sure if my passionflower vine were capable of thought, it would be thinking, "wtf?"

we're off to indiana for the next 12 days, so blog entries may be even spottier than usual. rest assured, i will post many, many photos upon my return.

apples to (frozen) apples

neither of us went into work today. we pretty much just lazed around, until we trudged in the snow over to leslie and bryn's for a superyummy spaghetti dinner and a couple of rousing rounds of apples to apples. before leaving, i took a few photos of the weird ice formations that are eating the flora around our house while dave helped the neighbor dig his car out of the snow. the cat is jackson, bryn's vampire feline.

another snow day

more snow yesterday. just so that those of you not in the northwest get an idea, i'm posting a photo of the snow piled on top of our trash/recycle bins. we as portlanders are neither accustomed to nor prepared for this. i just hope it clears up enough so that our flight to indiana can leave on christmas!

winter wonderland adventures

tonight we made our way through the snow drifts to jessica and brett's for a holiday party, where we played games and made merry. my shadow in the snow donning the christmasy reindeer antlers dave won looks appropriately pagan for the night before the solstice, don't you think?

many happy returns, renee! (part 2)

after cake, we headed out to the little red shed for some carols, scotch, and laughter. two rather drunk fellows attempted to relieve dave of a couple of his spouses, but he held fast. another version of the story is that dave was actually protecting the dudes from one or two of us less tolerant of douchebagginess.
