new career?

maybe i'll just become a cat photographer. my parents' new kitty, toppersocks, was a gracious model when i visited.

well, bubs and i came down with the flu while we were in indiana, and i've been down and out for 13 days now. i have a little bit of catching up to do...

my sister and i took the kids to apple works near her house while i was visiting, and i snapped a few photos. you'll notice the shots of charlie are blurry, which is appropriate since he is always on the move! he is also a master of funny faces.

make new friends but keep the old

on our whirlwind trip, we finally got to catch up with some old friends and their new additions (of the feline and human species). little libby has started taking her first steps this week!

a good day with beau

we're spending some time in greenwood, indiana, with dave's dad and stepmom at their new house. taking beau to the dog park on a beautiful fall hoosier day was a highlight.

layover at DIA

we had a brief layover in denver on our way back to the hoosier state, and happily discovered some really lovely art on display from southwestern colorado artists.

if i were a little gnome...

i'd think i'd found the perfect home...in this sweet little field of toadstools in seattle's lower queen anne neighborhood.

i've been having quite a bit of trouble using picasa's photo uploader, especially with its treatment of color. so, i am switching over to using flickr to host photos. please bear with me as i try to learn a new trick.

halloween in seattle

we drove up to seattle with nicole and jen to celebrate halloween with nthn and jkj. we had a great time hanging out at their lower queen anne apartment, then walking to belltown to gawk at other nutty halloweeners.

ah! to spin a globe and randomly choose a great adventure! maybe next time... our next big trip is to begin 2010 in new zealand at j&b's!

on a side note, i've luckily found someone who is as lustful as i am for a good wander, as often as possible. :)

july in seattle (part 2)

just a few more random portraits from my trip. in addition to the show, i dropped by the housewarming party of a dear friend from high school, said happy bday to jen j, and breakfasted with julie for the last time on this continent for a while (she's moving to new zealand this week).

i drove half the band to seattle and went to their awesome show at the wild rose on saturday, where they were unknowingly incognito.

i left my heart in - SF day five

we spent our last day in san francisco at the SFMOMA with nthn and jkj - we even had lunch in their little bistro and shared a cookie plate at their rooftop café. i also had a chance to collect a few snaps of the cityscapes and architecture around the financial district.
