paris day 1

this morning, we arrived safe and sound in paris. we got checked in to the apartment (thanks for renting out such a great place, didier!), had a delicious lunch of baguette and camembert cheese, and took a bit of a nap. here's bubba chillaxin' and a couple of pics of our view in the 11th arrondisement (near the bastille). later that evening we tried to stop in at one of the free museum offerings, but as this only happens one night a year, the line was two blocks long. instead we ate dinner at a local brasserie and took a looooooong walk around our neighborhood and the next neighborhood over, le marais.
